Admissions

The Division of Public Safety Leadership has a long-standing history of providing innovative academic programs and applied research. Applicants are leaders in the field of public safety, the military and intelligence analysis, or those who have been designated as future leaders in these fields.

Admission to our MS and BS programs takes into account a variety of factors, including an applicant’s professional experiences, previous academic record and potential for success.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have earned a four-year bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent) from a regionally accredited college or university and a minimum 3.0 GPA for the MS programs, and must possess associate in arts degree or 60 transferable credits from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.0.

Admission Requirements include:

  • Completed online application
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended
  • Professional resume
  • Essay
  • Two letters of recommendation

Applications to the program are reviewed on a rolling basis, and those admitted will be placed into cohorts (see cohort schedule). Applicants are interviewed, and an admissions committee makes the final selection of candidates.
