Pending Research

Pending research and evaluation projects include:

  • An evaluation of FTA safety courses
  • Development of curriculum guidelines for public safety training for FTA personnel
  • Development of curriculum to train major cities to establish Terrorist Early Warning Systems funded by the Office of Domestic Preparedness, US Department of Homeland Security, and
  • Development of distance learning for emergency response of several public safety disciplines with the School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University
  • Continual study and analysis for the Major Cities Chiefs Association

DPSL staff conducts independent studies. Current projects include: a conceptual description of police leadership, police response to people with disabilities, dynamics of fear, various professions and agencies support to victims of domestic violence, and building trust and integrity among first line supervisors.
